LAQ State Championships
Athletes U9–U17 who qualified from Regional Summer Championships (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th + if qualifying standards are reached) are eligible to compete against other qualifying athletes from throughout Queensland. The U13 athletes and U15 heptathletes are eligible for selection for the Queensland Team to compete at the LAAC.
State Titles are being held in Brisbane for 2017/18. To be eligible for selection for the State Team 50% attendance at Centre Competition is a requirement.
U13 athletes are eligible to compete at the Little Athletics Australia Championships. Whilst recognition is given to individual placegetters the emphasis is on Team Performance. Each State is limited to 22 competitors (11 boys & 11 girls). U15 athletes are eligible for selection to compete in the Heptathlon Competition (Hurdles, 100m/200m, 800m, LJ, High Jump, Javelin & Discus/Shot Put). Pentathletes (boys & girls) placed first and second at the State Championships may be offered a place in the State Team.
