The Little Athletics season commences in September and concludes with the State Championships in March the following year. Throughout the season carnivals are held at various other venues. These carnivals are conducted by various Little Athletics Centres or by the State body of Little Athletics. </div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````</B></div> <div> <B><U>Registration Information</U></B></div> <bR> <div> Ipswich Little Athletics register children from the Under 6 age group to Under 17 age group inclusive. To be eligible to register as an Under 6 in the current season the child must be 5 years of age before 1 October of that year. To be able to compete each child must be a registered member of the Centre.</div> <div> <B>Registration fees for the current season are: Under 6 - $95.00, Under 7 to Under 17 - $100.00 and each additional child $90.00</B>. </div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````</B></div> <div> <B><U>Competition Information</U></B></div> <bR> <div> Ipswich Little Athletics compete on a <B>Friday night</B> commencing at 6:00pm and on <B>Saturday mornings</B> at 8:30am for Centre Championships. </div> <bR> <div> Weekly competition is conducted on a rotational basis, rotating through five programs. Athletes compete in a combination of track and fields events every competition day. These programs are outlined in full on the Programs page. Depending on the age group as to what events are offered to the athletes. Each age group will have track events of varying distances, including hurdles and field events including jumping and throwing events. </div> <bR> <div> Coaching is available, free of charge, on Tuesday afternoons commencing at 5:00pm for two hours. Ipswich have a number of qualified track and field coaches and coach athletes from beginners through to the experienced. Attendance at coaching is not compulsory, however, should an athlete attend a parent/guardian must sign the athlete attendance sheet at the office.</div> <bR> <div> Coaching is only available to registered athletes and trialists due to insurance requirements.</div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````</B></div> <div> <B><U>Wet Weather</U></B></div> <bR> <div> In the event of wet weather causing the cancelletion of competition, a message will be placed on the answering machine a soon as a decision is made - telephone 3812 3833.</div> <bR> <div> Should Friday night competition be cancelled, generally, the same program is conducted the following Friday night.
